Link Farm

A link farm is a website or group of websites that were created for the sole purpose of boosting another website's PageRank by linking to the website from various pages in the link farm. Operating link farms is prohibited by Google and other search engines' webmaster guidelines. Search engines often penalize link farms by deindexing them and websites that colluded with them to boost their rank also can have their rank reduced or be deindexed.
