The goal of obtaining large numbers of incoming links can be to improve the rank of website on search engines and to increase referral traffic. Link bait can have a positive application when creating extraordinary, useful content that benefits users. Examples of link bait include infographics, videos, case studies and online games. Link bait can also have negative uses such as repackaged content with no real added value.
