A while back Google launched their mobile friendliness test and made the entire SEO world aware of the importance of optimizing for mobile devices. Not long ago, November 12th, Bing announced their Mobile Friendliness Test Tool as well. Next on the list to announce their mobile friendly label is Yandex, Russia's main search engine.
Generally speaking, there are three main search engines: Google, Bing and Yahoo. Don’t get me wrong, there are more search engines available, I know, for example Yandex (popular in Eastern Europe), Baidu (common among Asian users) and many more. But they are all secondary. Even more so, when talking about "a search engine”, we’re usually talking about Google. The biggest and most popular of all available search engines. Therefore, I am going to talk about Bing today, and their newly launched Mobile Friendliness Test Tool. Even the competitors should get some media space - not only, "the one”, Google.

Google announced, that they are now making efforts to remove sites that have been hacked from search results to improve the quality of search.
When Google talks about local, there's two different aspects, Geo-location by country and geo-location by city or local area, zip code, town or city. To begin with, national geo-location can be set up from the top level URL, using country specific URL extensions.
