Bing Ads Data Integration



Connecting your Bing Ads account with Rank Ranger allows you to view Bing Ads campaigns, ad groups and keyword reports in our reporting interface and to integrate them into client dashboards, marketing dashboards, and automated PDF reports together with ranking data and other third party metrics.

You must be a Bing Ads Admin and logged into your Bing Ads account in another browser tab prior to connecting the account to Rank Ranger (or ask an Admin to authorize the Rank Ranger connection for you).

Log Into Your Bing Ads Account

Log into Rank Ranger and access Account Settings > Authorized Connections
(user must have Rank Ranger Account Settings permissions to access the Authorized Connections screen)
Add Authorized Connection
  • Click the Add Connection button to expand the option list.

  • Click on the Bing Ads button from the list of third-party integrations.

Confirm Your Bing Password

Since you are logged into Bing Ads in another tab, Bing will recognize your account, but for security reasons, they may ask you to confirm your Microsoft password.
  • Enter your password and click Sign in

Approve Bing Ads Connection Permissions
Confirm that you want to grant Rank Ranger permission to integrate with your Bing Ads account.
  • Click Yes

Choose an Easily Identifiable Connection Name

Enter a Connection Name that will make it easy for users to identify the account it corresponds to and click the Update button.

Connect Bing Ads to Campaigns

 
Select Bing Ads Connection from Campaign Settings
  • Click on the Home Campaigns tab, 
  • Click the gear icon of the relevant campaign to open Campaign Settings (depending on the Campaigns screen view that you have selected, you make need to hover over the campaign image to display the gear icon)
  • Click Other Integrations in the left menu
  • Select the Bing Ads connection from the menu and click the Connect button

  • Choose the Bing Ads account from the menu
  • Click the Connect button

Successful Connection
After successfully selecting an account, the Connect button is replaced by the Bing Ads account name and options to view Bing Ads reports, access Insight Graphs, and Metric Widgets, or disconnect the campaign from the integrated data.

Bing Metrics


  • Avg. CPC (Average Cost per Click): The total cost of all clicks divided by the total number of clicks
  • Average Position: The average position of the campaign's ads on the SERP
  • Clicks: The number of clicks on your Bing ads triggered by each keyword
  • CTR (Click Through Rate): The percentage of times users clicked on your ads when they were displayed on the SERP (calculated as clicks divided by impressions)
  • Conversions: The total number of conversions resulting from clicks on ads triggered by keyword
  • Conversion Rate: The number of conversions divided by the total number of clicks
  • CPA (Cost per Action): Total cost divided by the number of conversions
  • Impressions: The number of times your Bing ads were displayed on Bing SERPs
  • Match Type: Column showing the keyword match type in Bing Ads (Exact, Phrase or Broad)
  • Return on Ad Spend: Revenue divided by spend, expressed as a percentage
  • Revenue: Total revenue from conversions (revenue per-conversion times the number of conversions, calculated using a per-conversion revenue amount provided by the administrator)
  • Spend: Total cost of the clicks for each keyword
  • Status: Column showing the ad group's status in Bing Ads (Enabled or Disabled)
  • Total Ad Spend: The total cost of all clicks
